With the addition of Jonathan Lucroy on a minor league contract, the White Sox may have their eventual backup catcher for 2021. Unfortunately the hard numbers show a strict budget Jerry Reinsdorf handed to Rick Hahn this year. A lack of payroll addition has taken a golden opportunity away, and created obstacles to the White Sox 2021 championship aspirations.
